This section is to help support my hobby as a DJ. Currently I mix under the name: DJ Esus For those of you who don't know, I have had a long standing love for the art of the mix. For as long as I can remember I've always been making mix tapes for my car or friends spanning all kinds of genres. I see it as a form of storytelling, a sort of musical journey from start to finish. So, it seems only natural that I was drawn to electronic music - a community that supports the notion that the composition of the mix is as much a part of the artform as any of the individual songs there within. For in-depth descriptions of my mixes, check out the [albums] section. I've had some requests to pull out some of my mashups and create [singles] out of them, and someday when I have time I will. For now, that section will remain empty. I'm going to try once a month to post a list of my current 10 favorite songs in the [charts] section. These can span any genre. And if I ever get my act together, who knows, I might be able to take my act on the road and if I ever do, updates will be in the [tour] section. And of course, click the [downloads] link to get a copy of my mixes. Unfortunately for the most of you, they are only available as one long mp3 file. As in, there won't be any track breaks if you burn it to CD. Personally, I'm okay with this because my mixes are meant to be listened to in order, and not skipped around a bunch. Were you listening to any of that hippy new-age mumbo jumbo I was rambling on about up there? If you still would prefer a copy of my music on CD with track breaks, that can be arranged. Click on [contact] to shoot me an email and we'll figure something out. Enjoy! |
